ENTERPRISE SHOWCASE

FINANCIAL AND ENTERPRISE EDUCATION SHOWCASE

21st JUNE, 2022

During term 3 of the academic year (2021-2022) each class were asked to complete an Enterprise project to allow pupils to apply the skills they had learned in Financial Education. This included successful projects such as selling Easter cones, a book swap and a Dragon’s Den project. Some pupils also took up the opportunity to further their own entrepreneurial skills by independently taking on tasks such as the ‘Name the Teddy’ contest, teaching others how to create a website and also a child sharing their own success story with finger knitting.

As this was a whole school aim, we felt it was important that this success within Enterprise Education was celebrated. Therefore, a Financial and Enterprise Education Showcase took place on 21st June, giving children in classes across the school the opportunity to share their learning. We had several stalls set up in the school library and evidence of the work carried out with organisations such as MyBnk and Money Advice Scotland were also displayed. Furthermore, all pupils and staff were invited along to the showcase. Other guests included pupils and staff from nearby Balornock Primary School as well as QIO Stephen Watters, who was impressed by the children’s enthusiasm for their projects.

Overall, the Financial and Enterprise Education Showcase was a great success and the pupils did a fantastic job showcasing their hard work.
